Gary was born November 30, 1951, the son of Melvin Tulle and Phyllis Boaz. He married Teresa Reeder on March 14, 1975. She survives.

Also surviving are their daughter, Rachel (Nathan) Best of Green Valley; two grandchildren, Hannah and Abigail, both of Green Valley; his mother, Phyllis Boaz of Normal; a brother, Greg Tulle of Kappa; two sisters, Gail Lopez of Cape Coral, Florida; and Gina (Gene) Meece of Bloomington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.

Gary graduated from Normal Community High School. He worked in sales at NAPA Auto Parts in Bloomington for over 40 years. He enjoyed going fishing at Dawson Lake and camping at Weldon Springs with his wife and daughter as she was growing up. He also enjoyed visiting with his coffee group at Target for many years and loved being with family and friends – playing cards and going out to eat. Gary and Teresa visited Branson, MO together many times over the years and enjoyed the shows, shopping, and restaurants. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to Branson as well. They have many wonderful memories.

I met Gary when I began attending Valley Chapel in Green Valley. He seemed like such a quiet man and so polite and kind. I know his family dearly loved him and said many prayers for him to do the one thing they wanted most -- for him to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Gary made that decision on Easter Sunday of this year and then became very bold in his witnessing to others about the love and salvation given to us through Jesus Christ. I know that made his family very happy and it changed his life forever. Now, Gary is enjoying all the splendors in Heaven and we will see him again -- whole and in no pain. My sympathy is extended to all of his loved ones. As you remember Gary, may God bring a smile to your face even as tears flow down from your eyes. You are in my prayers. Love and Sympathy from Martha Dunnam - Green Valley, IL

Teresa, So very sorry to read of your husband's passing away. I'm happy that you and your daughter had many years of happy memories with him. These will help get you through the next few years. Also, so glad he found the Lord before the end.

Take good care and I'm sure I will be running in to you eventually as we seem to do.
