I had the privilege of being a student teacher in Mrs. Schweinberg's class at Eugene Field School during the spring of 1975. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor in the field of education. She was very patient and encouraging with the students and with me. She always spoke with much pride and love of her husband and children. Although l was really only connected with Mrs. Schweinberg for a brief time, her influence had a lasting impact on me throughout my
35 year teaching career in Illinois. Mrs. Schweinberg touched the lives of many, and I send my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who loved her.

I will never forget being a new teacher with Unit 5, and I was told about this wonderful teacher to visit. She was known for differentiating her instruction to meet the needs of her students! Her name was Jane Schweinberg! Jane couldn’t have been more gracious....or patient with this newbie! I know her family must have wonderful memories of her! I’m so sorry for your loss!

I always enjoyed visiting with the Schweinberg's at Green Gables. They were the nicest couple and we often talked about Gulf Shores. I will miss seeing them and enjoying our conversations. They were Gables customers for years . The kind of people you remember and cherish. I am sad that I will not get to visit with them again. Thinking of their family, Sandy Holder
