Dr. Senen R Dalisay, 75, of Normal, IL, passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2018. He was born in San Pablo City, Philippines, graduated from the University of Santo Tomas medical school in Manila in 1965, and completed general surgery training in Charleston, WV in 1971.
Dr. Dalisay practiced medicine in the Philippines from 1971-1974, began his private practice in the Hamilton, IL and Keokuk, IA area in 1974, and retired in 2007. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife of 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three children, Brian, Julie (Saad) Elzanati, and Jessica (Drew) Griffin; and seven grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the University of Illinois Foundation for the Dr. Senen R. Dalisay Memorial which will award scholarships for early cancer detection research.
