Twyla Mae Tabor, 86, of Normal, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at OSF St. Joseph in Bloomington. She was born May 26, 1932 in Hope, Kansas, the daughter of John and Zola Adams Friedli.
Twyla was a longtime employee of State Farm, where she worked as an insurance technician until her retirement in 1993. She attended College Park Christian Church in Normal, and enjoyed reading, drawing, painting, and giving attention to her beloved cat, Angel.
She is survived by two children, Stuart Tabor of Bloomington; and Carolyn Frankfather of St. Charles, Missouri; a granddaughter, Justina Frankfather of St. Charles, Missouri; three brothers, Lloyd (Mary) Friedli of Lexington; Gary (Arlene) Friedli of Colorado; and Kim (Gay) Friedli of Kansas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Friedli.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, October 6th at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
