I grew up with Charlie across the street on Calvin Ave in Ewing, NJ.  I went  to flight school because of Charlie’s encouragement and his T-Bird stories. RIP Charlie.

I met Charlie on a golf course about 20yesrs ago we were both singles so they teamed us up he seemed like a. good guy so invited him to join our regular Sunday group he did and we all became good friends,we were all in our 70s after playing for about 10 years and most of us started having health problems.Two of us has cancer now for years, and 1 of us just died a week after Charlie anyway Ann my condolences to you and all family members. I was one of four happy golfers that met up every week for over ten  years every Sunday to play with Charlie.
Despite his many illnesses he never was one to complain.
Always a cheery disposition, which made knowing him a  delight.
I had many wonderful times with Charlie, and he will be missed.
I hope there are mulligans in heaven.

Sorry to hear from Anna that Charley had recently passed. Charley aka " Short-Round" was a fine Helicopter Gunship Pilot and a hoot to be around.  I always had hopes that he would make it to one of our "mini-reunions" to tell old war stories.  It was not to be.
He was a good man!  RIP my friend.  Condolences to family and friends.
