Robert G Parker

May 30, 1936September 12, 2020

On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Robert Parker, loving husband, father of three and grandfather of two, passed away at the age of 84.

Bob was born on May 30, 1936 in Appleton, WI. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he received his degree in civil engineering, worked on the Glen Canyon Dam, and met Judy, the love of his life.

While starting to raise a family in Appleton, Bob worked with and later ran Parker Construction, the family business that built highways throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. In 1973, he relocated his family to Coral Springs, FL, where he continued working in the construction industry including building custom luxury homes throughout South Florida.

Bob loved spending time with his family in a variety of ways: meeting for lunch, having everyone over to his place, and especially taking a family vacation to places like Utah, Canada, Ireland, New Hampshire, and his favorite spots in Maine. He had a quick wit, infectious smile, and a kind and compassionate spirit. And the things he loved almost as much as his family were some really good red wine, grilled brats, and watching a Green Bay Packers football game.

Bob was predeceased by Judy, his wife of 58 years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Alan Kurtz, son James Parker, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Todd Moll, grandchildren Tyler and Sarah Moll, and his brother and sister-in-law Tom and Jacquie Parker.
