I am so saddened to hear of Joan’s passing. When I first moved here she was very helpful, even drove to my house with the name of her hairdresser, who I still have 3 years later. I saw Joan at the indoor pool all the time and admired her tenacity as she swam and swam for what seemed like hours. If not swimming, you could see her walking all over the property. And don’t let her small statue fool you, she was full of vim and vigor! She loved her husband and spoke about him lovingly. She fought the battle and now she is at peace. A honor to know you Joan. Joan and I worked on a project together at Dartmouth Medical Center in the early 1990’s. She was a quiet woman, but I loved when she giggled and smiled, her whole face would light up. She was always so good to my boys who were very young at the time. My deepest condolences to her family and may she find rest and eternal peace.

So sorry to hear this news. Joan, we read so many books, talked over so many dinners, in our book group of many years. I hope you’re headed to an enormous and endless library. Rest In Peace. My condolences to Joan’s husband, family and friends.

Joan was my first cousin who I saw intermittently through the years.
I think of her when I use the pottery she made and gave us.
The nicest time with her was when she drove hours to see me for a short time at an art event. We had an enjoyable time talking together.
It was always clear Joan valued family by the effort she made to be part of family events.
RIP
