Blanca was born on July 3, 1939 in Eastern Samar, Philippines. She grew up with her family in the seaside town of Salcedo, Eastern Samar, Philippines. She fondly recalled working and playing with her siblings in their younger days. In 1960, she moved to Manila where she met her future husband, Monico Del Fierro Madarang, in front of a church. Monico joined the U.S. Navy, he and Blanca married, ultimately raising 4 children. She and her children spent some years in Samar, Pangasinan and Olongapo City, before joining her husband in the United States. In 1977, her family moved to California, where she lived in the same house to raise and care for the children. For many years while raising children, she worked as a seamstress, then as a Certified Nurse Assistant. She lived a full life with a smile every day. Family has always been top priority for her. She always made sure to take care of her children and relatives. She would visit her family members in the Philippines whenever time and health allowed. Blanca will be greatly missed by all. We know her as a courageous, but loving and generous person. She battled with health conditions and gave until there was no more to give.
Blanca is survived by her husband of 60 years, Monico, her oldest son, Regnar of Thousand Oaks, CA, his wife Marivi, and their two children, Eva and Regnar, Jr; her second son, Noel of San Diego, CA, his wife Lisa, and their two children, Ethan and Olivia; her youngest son, Anthony of Chula Vista, CA, his wife Chris, and their three children, Alex, Drake, and Bryton; and her youngest, daughter Emily of Minneapolis, MN, her wife Leah, and two children, Kira and Ellyse .
