My mom Mercedes Solomon Marsh (born Ysidra Seding Solomon) on January 2, 1936 in the Manila Phillipines to Constantino Solomon and Consolocion Macaraeg peacefully passed away on July 9th, 2018 in her home in Chula Vista, CA. She met James A. Marsh in 1955 in Manila when he was stationed in the Phillipines as an navy man at Subic Bay, they were married in 1956 and stay married for 58 years. She was survived by her 3 kids Tyrone S. Marsh, Jeffrey S. Marsh and Michell S. Howell ( Richard), and her 2 granddaughters Brittany and Heather Howell. She will be greatly remembered and missed by all who knew and loved er. My mom was known for her kind, generous and loving spirit, those that knew her well knew that she was the type of person who would go to great lengths to please people. She would love to cook her delicious Filipino dishes for everyone who came over to see her, in fact if you didn’t eat a second plate she would give you one away. She also, loved her husband the late James A. Marsh, her kids and granddaughters very much, there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for her husband, kids and granddaughters. My mom was also a very deeply spiritual person, she was raised a Roman Catholic and was devoted to praying the rosary everyday. I know that because of her great love for Christ is what kept her hanging on despite her condition after my dad passed away 4 years ago in 2014. Mama, your pain is over and you can finally be with your husband (Marsh) and the Lord. Me, (Richard), Tyrone, Jeffrey, Brittany, and Heather will always love you with all our hearts and some day we will all be together again. Rest in peace mama you will always be loved and never forgotten. Forever with all our love, Tyrone, Jeffrey, Michell (Richard), Brittany and Heather.

I miss and love my grandma because she use to make me filipino food and buy me everything I wanted. My grandma was the best grandma in the world and I’ll never forget her. See you one day in heaven grandma. Love, Heather

My mom was one of the most generous people I have ever known. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back. I remember as a little girl when I would eat with her she would offer the first spoonful of food to me rather than feeding it to herself. She was always concerned about other people and never once put herself first, in fact on the day of her funeral which was my 20th anniversary I could hear her voice saying Michell go out and have dinner and have fun. I miss my mom with all my heart she was the best wife, mom and grandma to her granddaughters that I have ever known. I will miss the phone conversations that we used to have and I look forward to talking to her once again when I meet up with her in heaven. I love you mom and I will never forget you. Your daughter Michell
