Frances was the daughter of Robert Miller Kinney and Frances Anna Faye Padget. She, with her parents and brother Bob would move to Boulder, CO. in 1941. She attended Boulder High School where she was one of two cheerleaders in 1945-1946.
Frances met Bob Culver while attending B.H.S. and waited until his return from the Navy at the end of WWII, to marry one week later on Sept. 1, 1946. Frances and Bob would have four children; Robert Michael, Douglas Dane, Terri Diane (who was killed tragically in an auto incident at 1 yr. old) and Curtis Lee. They had three grandchildren.
Frances and Bob attended the Boulder Methodist and First Pres. Churches. Frances was a talented seamstress and loved to make quilts and dresses. She loved to square dance (Columbiners), travel tailoring and raising her kids. For a few years she worked at the Univ. of CO. as a switchboard operator and she was amazing at putting together huge feasts for family Thanksgivings and Christmas parties.
Frances was the love of her husband’s life as they were married for 70 years as well as the stability force and MVP of a busy family who loved her very much.
Unfortunately, dementia began to slowly take away her skills, her memory and her peace of mind. Physically strong enough to walk alone, but this horrible disease stole her mind. Please let us find a cure.
A open house remembrance will held for Frances at Crist Mortuary on Oct. 25th at 10:30am.
Cards can be sent to Curt Culver at 1977 W. Centennial Dr. Louisville, CO. 80027.
