Harold Anagnoston, age 74, passed away at his home in Bourne, MA as a result of heart failure. He was the son of the late Anna (Politakis) and Basil Anagnoston. He was born and raised in Boston, MA. He was a long time resident of Bourne having lived there for more than 30 years.
Harold entered the US Army-Signal Corps in 1966 and received an honorable discharge in 1969. He served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
His high school yearbook listed his "Ambition: To be a success". He was that personally and professionally. He went on to own and operate warehouses in Woburn and Somerville. When he retired, he found he had some time on his hands so he went to work for the Eastham Library Community.
Harold will be remembered for his sunny disposition and his laughter. He was well liked by all who met or worked with him. He had a wide circle of friends.
He was predeceased by his brother Peter and sister Stella. He is survived by his nieces Nicole Cullinan and Lisa Rodrick, his nephews Mark, Steven and David Benson, many cousins as well as his sister's step children Carol Costello and Barbara Semple.
Harold will be interred on Friday, January 29 at the Bourne National Cemetery, Bourne, MA . An outdoor religious blessing and military ceremony will take place 11:15-11:30 am . Those in attendance are asked to arrive at 11:00 am to sign in. Please bring and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Harold's name to the American Heart Association.
