John "Jack" Edward Ladetto

John Edward Ladetto (Jack) passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023 surrounded by family. Jack was born on January 11, 1937 in New Bedford to Annie (McGowan) Ladetto and John Ladetto and spent his childhood in Sagamore.

Jack graduated from Bourne High School in 1954 and briefly worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Sagamore before joining the United States Army from 1960 to 1962, where he was stationed in Germany. After the Army, he returned to work for Coca-Cola from 1963 to 2005.

Jack and Shirley (Williams) married in 1964 and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage next year.

Jack is survived by his wife Shirley, son Stephen John Ladetto and his wife Elaine of Forestdale, grandchildren, Kevin John Ladetto of New Hampshire and Daniel Hawkins and his wife Taylor of Sagamore. His sister, Gail Forni of West Yarmouth and many nieces and nephews.Jack was preceded in death by his son, Edward John Ladetto in 2008.

Jack’s favorite pastime was pulling his lobster pots in the Cape Cod Canal with his sons. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He was Vice President of The Marconi Club in Sagamore for many years. Jack also enjoyed his daily rides to the Sandwich Marina where he would meet with his friends.

Jack will be buried next to his son at the Sandwich Town Cemetery on Monday, September 18th at 11 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend his graveside service.
