Kenneth Joseph Bartha
Born on August 7, 1928 to the parents of Joseph and Rose Bartha, first son of four boys. Lived in the Riverside section of Buffalo, New York. Attended Public school 60 and graduated from McKinley Vocational High School in 1947. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the ship USS Mindoro CVE-120 and honorably discharged in 1950. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 and was stationed with the 382nd Military Police Battalion in Mannheim, Germany. Married Renate Becker in Mannheim, Germany. Honorably discharged from the Army in 1953. Worked at Strippit Inc. as a tool and die designer, product supervisor, manufacturing engineer and plant engineer. Retired in June, 1991 after 36 years. Beloved husband of the late Renate (nee Becker) Bartha; devoted father of Heidi (Ray) Kirschner, Karin Snyder and the late Kurt Bartha; cherished grandfather of Melanie Kirschner, Donovan (Tana) Snyder, Ray Kirschner III, Sandi (Robert) Madigan and Joseph Bartha; adored great-grandfather of Bennett, Timothy, Patrick, Evelyn and Aiden.
