Born in Pike Township, he was the son of the late Edith (Reitnauer) and Stanley Leh
He was a printer for Boyertown Packaging until his retirement in 1999. He was in the Army National Guard during peace time. He was a very dedicated church member of St. Joseph’s (Hill) Lutheran Church, Boyertown. Herbert was a longtime volunteer at the Oley Fair and was a past school board member of the Oley Valley School District. He was beloved and gracious neighbor and friend who was always willing to go the extra mile.
He is survived by two sons, Darryl Leh and Kenneth L., husband of Emma Leh both of Pike Township; two sisters, Gloria Krall and Gladys Oppelt; a brother, Howard Leh; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Joseph’s (Hill) Church, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown with Reverend Jeffrey W. Odgren officiating.
A viewing will be Saturday between 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery.
