Gloria Hartigan (nee Episcopo) of Bradenton, Florida, was born in the Little Italy section of Chicago, Illinois, on June 29, 1929, and fell asleep in death on August 23, 2019, after battling a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hartigan in 2004; a son, Gary Hartigan in 1996; a daughter, Melissa Hartigan in 1957; a grandson, Joey Hartigan in 2005 and a great grandson, Finnegan Sutton in 2006.
Surviving are her four children, Mark (Jocelyn) Hartigan, Palmetto, Florida; Joseph (Lesa) Hartigan, Sarasota, Florida; Gloria (Randy) Cook, Palmetto, Florida and Michael Hartigan and partner, Debbie Young, Bradenton, Florida, also surviving are her 10 grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Hartigan, North Port, Florida; Megan Hartigan, Parrish, Florida; Tara Hartigan, Bradenton, Florida; Stacey (Robert) Sutton, Advance, North Carolina; Vanessa Hartigan, Bradenton, Florida; Daniel and Ella Hartigan, Sarasota, Florida; Stephen Cook, Hanoi, Vietnam; Matthew Cook, Palmetto, Florida; Nikki Hartigan, Bradenton, Florida and five great grandchildren, Willow and Sage Sutton, Advance, North Carolina; Kayla Ling, Ryanna Smith and Marlee Hartigan, Bradenton, Florida, and a brother-in-law, George Hartigan, Montgomery, Texas.
Gloria was a loyal servant of Jehovah for 62 years and enjoyed being out in the ministry every week with her many dear friends from the Bayshore Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bradenton, Florida. She operated the Kindergarten Corner in Sarasota and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and “Nana” and friend to many. Memorial arrangements will be held September 7th at 4:00 p.m. at the Trailer Estates Clubhouse at 1903 69th Avenue West, Bradenton.
