Dear Mommy, I miss you every day. I know you're happy being with Daddy again and someday we will all be together. I still want to call you with questions or just talk and then realize I can't. I know you still watch out for me. I couldn't have had a better mother. Miss you so much and will always love you.

Meme, I really miss you. I miss all the phone calls and reminiscing. You always listened during those late night phone calls. There was so much to talk about, so many remember whens... I remember both of us saying it's too bad we can't go back. We had the best times in Sturgeon Bay. My best childhood memories come from that old house. Having all of us together was great. Of course all of us had to grow older, and apart. It was so nice knowing I would be able to see you at least once a year. At least now you're back with Big Grandpa. I miss you so much! I love you!

Dear Mother, It was one year and one day since you went home. I can't believe you have left us and I think of you every day. I hope you and Daddy are happy in your new home and are at peace. I miss you every day.

It was one year ago on this date that you left us. It sure doesn't seem possible - I still think that you are living in your apartment. Many times I think I need to call you to tell you something and then realize that I can't. Too bad heaven doesn't have a 1-800 number! I know that you finally have peace and are with Daddy again. I hope you are also taking good care of Mopsy and Gordie for me! I think about you and miss you every day.
An angel lived among us,
A gift from God above.
She showered us with kindness
And shared with us her love.
She cherished every moment
With the man who was her life;
Walking hand in hand together
Facing life with all its strife.
She loved her children dearly,
Each one a different way,
Nestled close within her heart,
Though now she's far away.
She's gone to live with Jesus.
But she's here with us today,
Smiling down on every one of us
And telling us she's OK.
Until we see each other again, Mother.

It is still so hard to believe that you are gone. I became a part of your family when I started dating your son and then you became my Mother in law when John and I were married. I could not have asked for a better Mother in law, every time that I called you or seen you, you were always asking how we were and much more you always asked me how my family was doing. You were such an amazing Mother and Grandmother to your kids and grandchildren. I know that you are in Heaven and you are no longer sick or in pain and you are now with all of your loved ones that have gone on before you. I bet one of the first things you did after seeing your loved ones you found my daughter Nichole and you told her that you knew her Mommy and all I can do is smile because I know she took right to you. Kay I want you to know that you were deeply loved by all of us and you are missed so much. I know that one day we will all be together again. I love you so much

What a beautiful picture of your mother! I remember her as a kind, quiet lady, and this picture with her gentle smile captures those traits. I know you all hold special memories of her in your hearts. I'm continuing to pray for your family in this loss.

Dear Mother, It has been one week and one day since you left this world, but you will never leave my heart. 70 years ago today you gave me life and I am so sad you are not here for my birthday. I hope you know how much I love you and will miss you until we meet again.

It has been one week today since you left us. I still cannot believe that you are gone. You were such a fighter right up to the very end. I know that your pain is now gone and that you are in heaven with Daddy, hopefully enjoying that big house he's had almost 20 years to build! I miss you so much. All my love to you until we see each other again.

From your First Grandchild. You will never be forgotten.

This is the entry I posted on my Facebook July 15:
My last Grandmother (Mom's side) passed away today, 7/15/14, 1:30 PM Central Time. She lived in Brandon FL outside of Tampa. She was 91 years old. Spent all evening speaking to relatives around the Country in 3 different States. I was her first Grandchild and have many wonderful memories of her at Sturgeon Bay, WI and Brandon. FL. She was the last of my relatives born before World War II. She was part of a group of relatives that instilled in me a love of history as she told me stories of her childhood and what America was like in times of the Depression along with stories of having babies during WWII (my Mom). She has left this world but will never leave my world. One of my fondest memories of her is watching Johnny Carson with her and my Grandpa and then going for late night ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
