We met John ( we always called him Jan ) at tante's Mien house. Almost every year we visited her and we always met him at her place. Couple of times we took for him the real cognac with us, he liked to drink a glass, only one a day!.
We played cards with them , we played Joker. He was always very interested in us, our children and our grandchildren. He was a man, who still was interested what happens in the Netherlands. He and tante ( aunt) Mien were very happy together, in spite of his many times looses the card games.
Anja en I will miss him!!
