September 19, 1924 – March 2, 2018
The pillar of our family passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018. Mildreth Alpert (Goldman) , age 93, of Boynton Beach left us, surrounded by her family. She leaves the love of her life, her husband, Irving and her loving family --Phyllis and Stuart Freilich, Sharon Hoffman and Michael Cohen , grandchildren Jaime and David Eisenberg, Drew and Joy Freilich, Lauren and David Saie, Jeffrey and Gabri Schreyer Hoffman and great grandchildren Chloe, Chase, Brooklyn, Savannah, Madison and Ellabell. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Lapuck and sister-in -law Shirley Hill. Irving and Mildreth had just celebrated their 72nd anniversary. The center of her life was her family. She and Irving met when she was 15 years old and it was a love affair from that moment forward.. Whatever they did, they did together. Mildreth attended Boston University, worked at the Veterans Administration assisting returning servicemen from WW11 and edited professional papers. She was a member of Hadassah, Brandeis and ORT. In later life she had eyesight and hearing problems but continued living as though they didn't exist. We mourn her loss but also celebrate her life as she brought joy and happiness to so many lives. Mildreth was beautiful, elegant, gracious and a lady in all respects. Services will take place at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St, Brookline, MA on Sunday, March 11 at 10:30 AM. Please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Fund. Rest in peace our love.
