She was preceded in death by her husband, Horacio Martinez, Sr.; mother, Maria Luisa Mendez; father Casimiro Mendez;

brothers, Ricardo Mendez, Casimiro Mendez; sister, Olivia Mendez Tijerina; daughter, Paula Hamby; sons, Horacio Martinez II, Ramiro Martinez, Roberto Martinez and Rolando Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Graciela Medina, Arturo Martinez, Palmira Conejo, Amalia M. Davis and Jesus (Jesse) Martinez; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 9pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held at 9am on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral with a committal service to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eugene Medina, Horacio Martinez III, Arturo Martinez, Jr., Ramiro Martinez, Jr., Daniel Conejo, Jr., and Robert Martinez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be William Hamby, Jr., Rene Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Daniel Martinez and Reynaldo Medina.
