We first met LaVerne when we started delivering meals to her with Meals on Wheels and then visited her often at her assisted living facility. She was a joy to us and we spent many hours talking and laughing together. We were amazed at her sharp mind and memory. She reminded me of my own mother who also was born in 1922 but who passed away 15 years ago. We will miss her very much and her sweet smile.
