Thelma was born December 5, 1942 in Hinesville, Georgia the daughter of the late Wiley Carter and the late Geneva Shuping Carter. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Wilson Talmage Mobley. Eight of Thelma’s siblings also preceded her in death.
Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She lived most of her adult life in Brunswick. She was retired from Rich’s Products, formally SeaPak, after twenty-one years of faithful employment. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Thelma always look forward to 12:30 PM on a weekday because she love to watch The Young and Restless. She also enjoyed crocheting and will always be remembered for her buttermilk biscuits. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
Left to cherish Thelma’s memories are her son, Sim A. Taylor; her two daughters, Sandra Taylor-Noble (Wilton) and Mary Elizabeth Cordova (Marcos Padilla); her five wonderful grandchildren, Richard Taylor, Rachael Taylor, Je’mya Brown, Karina Mobley, and Javier Mobley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends during the hours of 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. A Celebration of Live Service will be held to honor Thelma’s life at 12:30 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating.
