Henry "Pete" Edwin Holleman

Henry E. “Pete” Holleman, 86, of Bryan, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Broadmoor Place in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 29th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A service celebrating Pete’s life will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 30th at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Pete was born November 20, 1932 in Somerville, Texas, the son of Robert E. and Johnnie Lee (Hill) Holleman. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1951 and served in Korea. He received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and The Korean Presidential Unit Citation Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1955 as a corporal.

Pete worked at Neches Butane, which later became part of Chevron as a Petroleum Control and Instrument Technician and bought and sold cars on the weekends. He loved music and enjoyed burning cd’s of his favorite music and passing them out. One of his favorite past times have family and friends over for a BBQ or just come over and reminisce around the burn pile.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phil Holleman. Survivors include his brother, Robert Jennings Holleman; two sons, James Holleman, Llyod Holleman and their children; nephews, Robert Holleman & his wife Linda, David Holleman & his wife Mary; three nieces, Pam Whitehead, Guylyn Fraley & her husband Burr, and Kristi Baker & her husband Terry.
