My fondest childhood memories were going to college station to visit uncle Bobby and aunt Jeanette. We played basketball on their back porch and rode bikes up and down their long driveway and played with all of our cousins. Aunt Jeanette would always cook us big meals when we came to town and always loved on my sister Sarah and I like we were her own grandchildren. She had candy jars all over her home and she let us eat as much candy we wanted, even when mom and dad said no! We loved it! Uncle Bobby would take me early in the morning to go get donuts, just the two of us. We would eat them on the way back to their house. Aunt Jeanette would be up fixing breakfast when we got back and would ask where have y’all been? He would look at me and wink and say “oh just went for a drive.” She would grin at me knowing good well where we had gone and ask me what I wanted for breakfast and then make me a whole big breakfast #2. She spoiled me rotten. She always had the softest blankets in the living room and would invite me to sit under her blanket with her and would put an arm around me and always made me feel loved by her. I loved her and her precious family so much and will miss her so much.
