Funeral service will be held at 11: 00 A. M. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bryan, Texas on Wednesday, September 11 with the Reverend Randall Bard officiating. Interment will follow at the Kurten Cemetery in Kurten, Texas. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
She was born on May 19, 1919 in Falls County, Texas to Anna Schmidt and Henry Restmeyer. Her family was large with 11 brothers and sisters. Louise and her family moved to Brazos County at the age of 12 and she lived there until her marriage to Robert Keller in 1945. After living in various towns in South Central Texas, Louise and her husband Robert moved back to Bryan in 1978 after his retirement.
Louise was a very caring person. In her younger years she was very active in doing volunteer work in the church, nursing homes and hospitals. She also volunteered in the veterans’ hospital which she very much enjoyed. She was willing to give of her time and resources to help others even if it meant she would have to sacrifice. This was especially true in regards to her family. Over the span of her life she devoted much time in the care of various family members.
Louise was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 159 as well as an auxiliary member to the V.F.W. Post 4692 of Bryan. Louise was steadfast in trying to live a Christian life. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bryan. She devoted her time reading her Bible daily.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Robert Keller of 35 Years, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Gordon Keller and wife Kay of Birmingham, Alabama, Mike Keller and wife Pat of Bryan, Robert Keller and wife Janice of Lake Jackson, Texas; two grandchildren, Leslie Tucker of Dallas, Texas and Paul Keller of Lake Jackson, Texas; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also had many wonderful and caring friends. She will be greatly missed.
