Mr. Noboru Yano ~ Born in Fanny Bay, British Columbia on May 13th, 1939 ~ Passed away in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 25th, 2009. It is with great sadness that after a brief and courageous battle for his life, Nobby passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital (ICU) with his family at his side. Predeceased by his parents, Mutsukiyo and Sumiye Yano, and his brother Saburo. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 41 years, Irene (Lou) nee Takahashi; sons David (Selina) and Dennis, and grandsons, Mason and Liam; brothers, Mas (Kaori), Hiroshi (Donna) and Ike (Millie); sisters, Fumi (Mike) Sokuawa and Judy (Tom) Maikawa and a sister-in-law, Chek Yano. Fondly remembered and missed by numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends. Special thanks to Dr. Sirounis, Dr. Chung, Dr. Wally, Dr. Boyd, Pam Colley and all the very kind and caring nurses and support staff at St. Paul's Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 4th, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Vancouver Japanese United Church.
