OBITUARY

Dorothy Edith Breitschopf

November 28, 1933August 30, 2019

Dorothy (Dot) Breitschopf celebrated life until she was 85 years old. She was born to Samuel and Ethel Lester. She was raised in Gonzales with a younger brother, Samuel Lester, Jr. and an older sister, Ann Robinson. She graduated from Gonzales High School and married William Louis Breitschopf on May 4, 1952. Dorothy and Bill raised six children: Pam Horn, Susan Breitschopf, Joy Thumann, Jenny Bradshaw, Jana Rose, and John Utley. She was a member of the Bertram Church of Christ, and Chaplain for the Burnet Women’s Prison. Her purpose in life was to serve God in her community and around the world. Dorothy was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, and her older sister. She is survived by her six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Joseph’s Hammer-Burnet Women’s Prison, Bertram Church of Christ, World Bible School, or the Cherokee Children’s Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, Texas.
