Edward Earl Allen, 62, passed away on February 22, 2019. He was born November 7, 1956 in Austin to James and Annie Cantrell Allen. Eddie attended school at Bertram Elementary and Burnet High School, after high school he served in the US Army. Eddie was a rock mason and a truck driver. Eddie married Rhonda Martin on May 23, 1979, and they had two children Jason and Kim. Eddie is preceded in death by his wife Rhonda Martin, his parents James Allen Sr. and Polly Allen. He is survived by his son Jason Allen and wife Amber of Saginaw, daughter Kim Headrick and husband Chris of Bertram, three grandsons Jacob Allen of Bertram, James and Caleb Allen of Saginaw, two granddaughters Amber and Autumn Headrick of Bertram, brother Jimmy Allen of Bertram, four sisters Pat Jackson, Carol Bird, Ann Kay, and Sandra Crawford all of Bertram, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday February 28, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Funeral Services will be held Friday March 1, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Bertram at 2:00 pm. Arrangements were entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Biography

      Edward Allen was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Edward will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

      Simply stated, Edward was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Edward leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Edward Allen.
