I first met Floyd, shortly after moving to the Cassie area, when I joined the Fire Department. Floyd and I manned a brush truck together. He accepted me as a friend immediately. Floyd and Don were always running trot lines and catching lots of fish. Often more than they wanted. Out of the blue, I would get a phone call, "Wayne, do you want some catfish?" Nancy and I were very appreciative of the generosity. Many times I received a phone call to let me know the whites or stripers were biting and where to find them. As often as I could, I would join Floyd and Don, fishing in my boat close to theirs. Those were the good old days. Floyd will be missed.

We remember Floyd with great fondness and several talents stood out: he was a master with a cast net at catching minnows for fishing, he was a true gentlemen and was always friendly and helpful, he usually appeared to be moving at a pretty good pace, and not least of all, he had such a deep and respectful love for his wife, Mary. As former neighbors, there are too many memories to list and it is with deep sadness that we convey our deepest condolences.
