Ray Maness Floyd, 88, of Buchanan Dam, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Pflugerville, Texas. He was born on June 25, 1924, in Gonzales, Texas, to Alex and Martha (May) Floyd. Ray was married for more than 70 years to Loma (Hess) Floyd. An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Bronze Star Medal for valor while stationed overseas in Italy. Ray was largely self-taught and had a passion for understanding how things worked. His mechanical mindset naturally led him to a career in auto mechanics that spanned more than fifty years of his life.

Graveside services and burial will take place at the Floyd Chapel Cemetery (Gonzales, Texas) on Saturday, June 22, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
