OBITUARY

Sava Blagojevic

May 13, 1955October 10, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Sava Blagojevic announce her passing at the age of 66 years. Sava is lovingly remembered by her husband Radosav, three children, Darko (Sue), Suzana (Damian), Nebojsa, and two grandchildren Alex and Sasha.

Born in 1955 a small village near Banja Luka, of the former Yugoslavia, Sava immigrated to Canada 1976 with her husband Radosav and oldest child Darko. They settled in Calgary with the support of her brother Slobodan (Veronica) Radakovic and began establishing further roots with the birth of two more children: Suzana and Nebojsa.

Sava was a loving and caring person, known for her infectious smile and incredible passion for others. She touched the hearts of everyone around whether through her kindness in the community or the traditional home-cooked meals she loved to share. Anyone lucky enough to have received a pair of her hand-knitted slippers will continue to feel the warmth of her love she put into every stitch and detail. Sava will be deeply missed by everyone in her immediate and extended family, but especially by the love of her life, her soulmate Radosav.

The Blagojevic family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mileva Stojanovic for her care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services that will be held at St. Simeon Serbian Orthodox Church located at 16025 243 Avenue East, Calgary, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will take place at Okotoks Cemetery located at 30 Westland Street Okotoks, Alberta.

I very fondly remember Sava from the Beverly Centre Glenmore. Sava was a kind generous and funny friend who made life for me at the Beverly much nicer! I can still picture her and her friends sitting around a table in the staff room eating "peppers". She helped me many times when I was required to set up "coffee" for David's guests.
I am so very sorry to hear of your passing and believe that you are now in a place of sunshine and green meadows. Rest in peace dear Sava!

Sylvia
