Keith Arthur Rossiter

December 25, 1944December 14, 2020

ROSSITER, Keith Arthur December 25, 1944 - December 14, 2020 Keith passed away peacefully at home, at a time and place of his choosing and surrounded by love, on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the age of 75.

Beloved husband and best friend to Carol for 45 years. Loving father of Kimberly Rossiter (Alexander Raptopoulos) and Charlene Rossiter (Richard LeBlanc). Very proud Grandpa of Aria Raptopoulos and Benjamin LeBlanc. Keith is survived by his sister, Joyce Genttner (Bob Kimmel) in BC, and his brothers, Barry Rossiter (Phyllis) and Ron Rossiter (Kim), both in London, ON. He is predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Bertha Rossiter and sister, Gail Likens. Keith felt his life wasn’t very exciting, but he made wonderful memories with Carol and the rest of his family, enjoying his retirement with golf, hockey, vacations and travel (especially cruises) and cultivated his avid interest in politics and current events by reading the newspaper front to back daily. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and other health care providers in the Cambridge, Kitchener and Hamilton hospitals, who have provided quality and timely care over the past 3 years in Keith’s fight against cancer. A memorial service celebrating Keith’s life will take place on Saturday, December 19th 1 pm at the T. Little Funeral Home in Cambridge, ON. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be private, but all may join a livestream of his service starting at 1 pm on the funeral home Facebook page. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home at (519) 623-1290.

In 1980, I met Carol at the Meadowvale Newcomers Club. Steve & I had been transferred with IKEA from Vancouver to Mississauga in 1980.

Carol welcomed me and Christopher in their home for tea and home baked treats. It was fun to watch Kimberly and Charlene share their toys with him. Carol is such warm & caring friend. Then in 1982, Jennifer was born. Then, K & C had more fun playing with C & J during our visits. We were both fortunate to be stay at home Moms. I didn’t get to see Keith much. Both Keith & Steve were very busy at work.

In 2001, when Steve & I were living in London, England, I booked a cheap Last flight to Montreal to visit some relatives and then took the train to Mississauga to visit friends including staying with Carol & Keith for a bit.

I remember Keith as a quiet, interesting and friendly man with a sense of humour.
Keith’s life HAD to be very interesting and exciting living and travelling so much with Carol.
That was so special to catch up with them.

I think they travelled to Vancouver, but we were either living in New Delhi or Shenzhen or Cardiff. Wish we could have given them our special tour!!

I watched Keith’s celebration of life with teary eyes. I loved Bob Seger’s - Running Against the Wind and James Taylor’s- Rire and Rain!!

May you Carol, Kimberly, Charlene and your Families, dwell in your many precious memories of Keith/Dad/Grandpa❤️❤️❤️

Lots of Love,
Lita, Steve, Chris, Jenn & Families ❤️❤️
