Passed peacefully at home on Friday, November 16, 2012. Vera and her loving husband Dennis enjoyed 57 years of married life; her passing leaves a great void. She held her family close as a wonderful and supportive mother to Janet and husband Dean Zilio and proud grandmother of Michelle and Becca; they meant the world to her. She will be missed dearly. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service was held at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge on Monday, November 19, 2012. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. On-line tributes may be left at

Janet, I was so sorry to read of the passing of your mother. I remember as a little girl tearing through the neighbourhood with a pack of kids and yours was one of the houses we'd hang out at. Take care of yourself during this difficult time.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Denny, Janet and family we find this news so sad and I am sorry that my own circumstances kept me from being with you for the celebration of Vera's life. In my own memories, I could not have asked for any better or more effective support in RBC branch operations in Georgetown frm 1971 to 1975. On behalf of Johanna and myself, our heartfelt condolences.
