Allene M. Nichols

Allene M. Nichols, 94, of Camp Hill, passed away Friday January 24, 2020 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1925 in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Rosella (Rectenwald) Zimmermann.
Allene was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill.
She enjoyed being around her family, especially spending time with her five great-grandchildren. She loved to cook but really enjoyed baking, especially around the holidays. She also enjoyed going out to eat, reading her mystery books and working on her crossword and word finder puzzles.
Allene was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Nichols, two brothers; Charles and Arthur Zimmermann, her sister Camilla Dezort.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Bruner, Thomas Nichols, Barbara Teramae. Six grandchildren, Lee Bruner, Emilee Bruner, Andrew Nichols, Ashley Nichols, Ian Nichols, Marissa Teramae and 5 great grandchildren, Four sisters; Patricia Baumiller, Cynthia Kaufman, Lorraine Whitehouse and Kathlyne Zimmermann.

Words never suffice in times like these. Allene is truly a great lady who will be missed dearly by those who have come to know and love her. She unwaveringly loved her children and her family and remained so till she left us. No doubt that love will follow her as she looks down from above. May time help you heal and bring you peace.
