He was born July 10, 1929 in Okmulgee, OK, son of the late Frank and Marie (Kohlmaier) Splain.
He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army,
He was employed by Gannett Fleming for 36 years where he retired as and engineer in the bridge division.
He was preceded in death by sisters; Rose Marie Splain and Dorothy Mazurowski
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Splain, of Camp Hill, daughter, Cathy Macfarlane, of Bradford, PA, son, Gary Splain, of Guilford, CT, grandchildren;, Heather Macfarlane of New York City, Kyle Macfarlane, of Los Angeles, Erin Splain of Norfolk, VA, Erica and Emily Splain of Madison, CT, brothers; Thomas Splain (Barbara), of East Aurora, NY, Patrick Splain ( Maxine), of Guntersville, AL, sister, Elizabeth Splain of Eldred, PA and several nephews.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service.
