Passed away at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton on November 1, 2023, at the age of 95, Mrs. Hilda Doucet of Campbellton, wife of the late Hector Doucet, and mother to her five children, Hector Doucet, Anne Simmons, Glen Doucet, Brian Doucet, and Kim Perreault.
Hilda was born on November 28, 1927, in Campbellton to the late David Durette and the late Stella Beaudoin.
Hilda a stay-at-home mom loved cooking, knitting and playing games with friends and family. Hilda cherished her family, siblings and grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, 4 siblings, Patsy Durette, Marjorie Alliston, David Durette and Bobby Durette, along with 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her 4 siblings Linda Plourde, Rita Richard, Jean Zatchez and Lois Valdron along with her parents and late husband.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on Wednesday November 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Visitations will be held at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Tuesday November 7 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, and on Wednesday from 9:30am to 10:50am.
