Rino Levesque

Il était le fils de feu Francis Levesque et de feu Delima Levesque.

Il est né à Edmundston, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Il a épousé son amie de cœur, Jacqueline, en 1956 et a déménagé à Campbellton en 1961.

Il a travaillé pour le Chemin de fer national du Canada de 1953 jusqu'à sa retraite en 1990.

Il était un fervent amateur de plein air. Il aimait chasser, pêcher, monter des mouches, cueillir des têtes de violon et fabriquer des produits d'érable, plus particulièrement ses cornets d'érable dont tout le monde raffolait. Plus tard dans sa vie, il s'est intéressé à la lecture de romans policiers, qu'il lisait plus vite que l'auteur ne l'écrivait. Il aimait sa famille et tout particulièrement son petit-fils.

Il manquera beaucoup à ses enfants Roger (France), Pauline (Carol) et à son petit-fils Alexandre. Il manquera également à sa sœur Mae LaJoie (feu John). Il a été précédé par son épouse, Jacqueline, ses parents, et ses frères : Yvon et Guy.

La famille tient à remercier le Dr. Fontaine et tout le personnel soignant de l'Unité de gériatrie pour les soins qu'il a reçus.

Les funérailles auront lieu à la chapelle funéraire Maher, 64, rue Lansdowne, Campbellton, le jeudi 4 avril à 15h. Les visites auront lieu de 14h jusqu'à l'heure du service à la chapelle.

Les arrangements funéraires sont sous la responsabilité de Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rino Levesque on March 29, 2024, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 89.

He was the son of the late Francis Levesque and the late Delima Levesque.

He was born in Edmundston, N.B. and married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline, in 1956 and then moved to Campbellton in 1961.

He worked for the Canadian National Railways from 1953 up until his retirement in 1990.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, fly tying, picking fiddleheads and making maple products especially his maple cones that everyone raved about. Later in life, he became interested in reading detective novels and he read faster than the author could write. He loved his family and especially his grandson.

He will be sadly missed by his children Roger (France), Pauline (Carol), and his grandson Alexandre.

He will also be missed by his sister Mae LaJoie (late John).

He was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline, his parents, and his brothers: Yvon and Guy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Fontaine and all healthcare staff on the Geriatric Unit for the care he received.

Funeral Service will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne Street, Campbellton, on Thursday April 4th at 3 p.m. with visitation from 2pm until time of service at the Chapel.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
