Ann (Swart) Pransky, age 88 of Braintree, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Ann was born on March 3, 1933 in London, England to parents Louis and Lezetha Swart. She was a devoted wife and mother, and also spent over 15 years working in the Braintree Public School System.
Ann had a compassionate heart and an infectious smile. She loved great food and meaningful conversation. Ann cared deeply for her family and her circle of lifelong friends. She was an advocate for animals, and never hesitated to take in a stray.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life for over 50 years, Sidney Pransky, brother, Neil Swart, son, David Pransky, and grandson, Jay Pransky.
She is survived by her sons, Howard (Beth) Pransky and Louis (Tina) Pransky; grandchildren Steven Colaw, Jill (Daniel) Wilkey, Zachary Pransky, Joseph Pransky, Chris Vogel, and Alex Vogel; and great-granddaughter, Clara Ann Wilkey.
Due to current Covid restrictions, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Ann’s memory may be donated to Temple B’Nai Shalom Braintree or the South Shore Humane Society.
