Elizabeth Evelynline Redleski

Elizabeth E. “Betty” Redleski, 90, of Davie, Florida (formerly of Louisville, Ohio) died on July 30th, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Davie, Florida.

She was born on Feb. 29th, 1928 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Clifford Christopher and Essie Belle (Minger) Huffman. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1946 where she studied to enter the workforce as a secretary. Shortly after graduation she met William F. “Bill” Redleski and they eloped to her sister’s home in Industry Illinois where they were married on Nov. 25th, 1946. She and “Bill” were happily married for nearly 62 years before his passing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Eleanor, Dorothy, Florence (presumed deceased), (Jesse) Marie, Mary; and her brother Christopher.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce J. McConnell; son-in-law, Gary S. McConnell; granddaughters, Valeri J. McConnell (of Portland, Oregon), Brittany J. McCarthy (of Sunrise, Florida); great-grandson, Ryland S. McCarthy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who knew her as “Aunt Betty” or “Gramma Betty”.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12th at 1:00 pm with her Funeral service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton, Ohio.

Anyone who knew “Betty” knows that she had a huge heart and was always helping others. She gave as much of herself as she could to make her family and friends’ lives better.
