Douglas Nathaniel Attaway

Services for Douglas Nathaniel Attaway, 23, of Terrell, will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Calvary Chapel in Plano with Pastor Rick Colburn officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories in Canton.

Doug was born December 24, 1996 in Mt. Pleasant. He grew up in Terrell. Doug loved football. He played football from the 4th grade until he graduated high school and dreamed of being a coach. He could talk about football…even when he did not know what he was talking about, he would make you believe he did. Doug was a good leader, supportive, loyal and kind hearted man. His greatest accomplishment was being an outstanding father.

Mr. Attaway is preceded in death by his grandparents: Bob Jones and Linda Yates; cousin, Jonathan Tutor; and his sister, Abigail Nicole.

Doug is survived by hi. s mother, Lori Attaway; father, Greg Attaway and spouse, Patricia Caudle; daughter, Lillian Denise; brother, Hunter Attaway; grandmother, Dorothy Jones; adopted aunt, Cozette Moore; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives Pallbearers will be Larry Loomis, Jr., Kaleb Slayton, Dalton Loomis, Trey Bodine, David Moore and Chase Moore.

Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Doug was devoted to his daughter Lily he loves her dearly. He is with his pappa Jones (my uncle) and they will continue their journey together in heaven and watch over us every day. My deepest sympathies to my Aunt Dorothy and Lori and their family love you all. God Bless
