Dawn and I worked together for many years and we became good friends. So we used to share anecdotes or stories about our lives. One of them she loved to tell the most was when she was a little girl. Her mom used to have a cookie jar over the counter in the kitchen. Dawn loved those cookies so much that she had to steal one or two before breakfast. She said her mom catched her a couple times with cookie crumbs on her face. She said her mom looked at her very suspiciously and ask " Dawn ...were you eating the cookies? And little Dawn always responded: Me? No. She said "even with the evidence all over my face I always denied it. And she laugh and she keep saying " well my mom knew I was doing it all the time she could of move the jar up high..well I think my mom knew that I would do anything in my power to reach out for the cookies no matter how high they were and she probably didn't want me to get hurt." And she laugh again.
Another story she loves to tell was when she meet Peter.
That evening her friend asked her if she would like to go out and Dawn really didn't feel like it but her friend insisted and she said " ok lets go."
Dawn smiles while she is saying this: "Peter was there at the restaurant and we started talking and in my mind I was like He is very cute!"
She continued saying: "Imagine if I decided not to go.. I woulded miss to meet the love of my life, my husband, my best friend and that woulded be really awful! "
There are so many more fun memories that I will always keep close to my heart and will replay in my mind every time I think about her.
I love you and I miss you Dawn!❤️

Being from Rhode Island myself, I made a connection with Dawn and Peter a good 15 years ago. Since then, our personal and professional worlds collided. We seemed to share several common friends and acquaintances, we hung out socially (although I wish it was more) and we've done business together on many levels.
Dawn was a pleasure to know. She would tell you straight up how she felt about things, often with a humorous flair. She enjoyed life, whether that be dining out, going to the beach or just sitting by the pool. She was funny. And she loved her husband.
I will truly miss her vivacious personality, her warmth, her smile, and her laugh.
My deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to Peter and the entire family.
