He was always there to help me with things or talk to me about things if I was feeling sad, and every time I left his house I would always have a smile on his face. I will always love you and never ever forget about you.

Jerry was the first person to welcome us to the neighborhood. That was the start of a long and happy friendship. Jerry was always willing to lend a hand. Whether it was holding a board to be cut or smoothing the ground for a pool we were installing. He always had a ready smile and good advice when asked for it. Jerry was also quite a good cook as he proved for us many times. Jerry's family was his most important priority. We will miss his kindness and his wonderful sense of humor.

The joy of being with our precious neighbor jerry will go on forever. Time of Laughter and sharing deep thoughts linger in our memories. To be a neighbor became more like being welcomed into Jerry’s family. It was a privilege, and a gift from God, to have known this man called Jerry.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of my Uncle Jerry. Although it had been years since we had last seen each other in person, my memories of him were of someone who was happy. And as I watched the wonderful video tribute, it was a trip down memory lane to see some of the old photos of my own dad, grandparents, and great grandparents.

"Eternal rest grant unto Gerald, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him."
