Mr. Hollar was born September 13, 1948 in Matador, Texas to Harmon Rea Hollar, Sr. and Pauline Floy (Vinson) Hollar. He and his wife Debby lived in Amarillo most of their life where they raised their family before moving to Edmond, Oklahoma in August 2006. They then moved to the DFW area to be near their daughter in July 2014.
Harmon attended Amarillo High School and graduated in 1968. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad for over 17 years and went on to work as a Corrections Officer for the State of Texas, where he retired. Harmon met the love of his life and married his wife Vicki Deborah "Debby" Hollar in May 19, 1972 and went on to have two children Shea Lea and Harmon Rea, III.
Harmon loved football, baseball and he loved his family very much. Harmon was very proud of each of his children and considered his family to be his greatest accomplishment.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harmon and Pauline Hollar. Survivors include his wife Debby Hollar, daughter Shea Lea Vandivere and husband Ryan Vandivere and son Harmon Rea Hollar, III. He also had three grandchildren Caisen, Kaitlynn and husband Brenton, and Sydney who called him "Pops".
In lieu of funeral services, the family will be having a private memorial to
