It is with great honor that I call Jim one of my closet friends over the past 39 yrs. He gave my wife to me in marriage. We shared many holidays and other special times together. He love my children as his own grand children as did they love him in return. On a personal note, he shared all his WW2 stories with me which I cherish today. He is from the Greatest and Bravest generation in my opinion, I am a better man for knowing Big Jim Acree, Terry Simons (Carrollton, Texas)

Jim was one of the kindest and most caring people I have had the privilege to have known. He was a true friend to me and my husband, and a source of consolation after my husband passed away. May you rest in peace and comfort now. Thank you for everythng.

Uncle Buddy was a very kind and caring person. He showed up on our doorstep a few years ago with a box full of old pictures and we had such a wonderful visit. He stayed for 3 days and I am so thankful for that memory! My thoughts and prayers are with Melissa and Robin!!
