My family met Hugh& Helen at Peeples Valley Church in the early 70’s. We only attended a short time until my Daddy was called to pastor a church. I’ve never forgotten them or their kindness. Prayers for Helen and family.

I met Helen and Hugh about 34 years ago when my husband, Rick, brought me to meet them. What kind, loving, wonderful people!

We were both saddened to hear of Hugh's passing. It's a great loss to all who knew him.

“Our sympathies to his family - he will always be in our hearts.”

I first met Hugh at Maple Ridge in 2017 while he was visiting Helen and my father was a patient across the hall. ( Luke Howell).
We fast became friends and he shared so many wonder stories of his life. My mother became a patient there in May of 2019 ... (Thelma Howell) and again there was Hugh near her room.
We picked up where we had left off... sharing great stories. I am still touched by his gentle spirit and his love for Helen through all the years. What a pleasure it was to see him walk the halls to receive her meals and feed her ever so gently... What a great man, husband, father, and friend. I have thought of he and Helen often during the past few months. My prayers to the family and for Helen. Please know Hugh and Helen have made an impact on my life that I will cherish forever. Rest in Peace Hugh... You knew I loved you! Deborah Howell - Eberhart

Just wanted to express our deepest condolences with your family for this great loss. Hugh worked for us years ago driving cars and picking up Title’s for us when we had a car lot. He was my favorite one, most trusted and honorable in all his dealings with everyone and everything he did. It was a great honor just to know him. I have stayed in touch with him over the years since we sold the car lot and I was always in awe of his love and faithfulness in his care of his wife. his love for his church and for his Savior, Jesus Christ! He was such a good and wonderful example for those who knew him. My heart grieves with you today but thankfully, we don’t grieve as those who have no hope. We will see him again! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family as you grieve this huge loss. Sincerely,
Christie and Hal Rogers
