I am very sorry to hear of Dr. Hueter's passing. He helped me get my first job at EPA in 1971. I worked in his division for several years. We carpooled when we both lived in Hi-House Mobile Home Park. The last time I saw him was at an Easter sunrise service when he lived at Bogue Banks were my in-laws have a house. I thought a lot of Dr. Hueter. He was a great man, and I respected and admired him tremendously. I mourn with his family at his passing. Sincerely, Jack Suggs

I remember Gordon well. I worked with him for over 20 years, including 4 years as his Deputy, and was maid of honor at his marriage to Mary. He was so full of life. He taught me many things and was a terrific mentor. Whenever we retired HERL-folk were together, the discussion always included--how's Gordon doing. He will be remembered fondly.

I am so sorry to learn of Dr. Hueter's passing. He (and Dr. Bud Love) were deputy directors of our lab and I was their secretary back in the earliest days of EPA (70's) when it was located in the Mutual Bldg in Durham (pre-RTP). He was a lot of fun and I can see him now with his pipe in hand and his crazy coffee (tea) cup! Blessings to his family during this time of loss.
