Fred Calvin Longnecker Jr. was born May 2,1958 to Fred Calvin Longnecker Sr. and Joyce Mae Longnecker. He was the oldest of four children.

During his younger days, his family moved frequently due to his parents’ ministry with the Rural Home Mission Association. When Fred was in junior high school, they settled in Northlake (Illinois), a suburb where Fred spent his teen years.

After high school, Fred joined the Air Force and served in the US and Guam for 4 years. He then went on to college at Western Illinois University and Trinity Evangelical University, Stevens Techs of New Jersey, where he earned his Master’s in computer science.

Fred eventually moved to New Jersey for work. There he met and married Eileen Yue Zhou. For 17 years, Fred and Eileen lived in Randolph, New Jersey. They attended and served Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ, Chinese Christian Church in Parsippany, NJ and Faithfulness Christian Church in Randolph, NJ. Most recently they moved to Cary, North Carolina where they attended Chinese Bible Church of North Carolina and Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in Apex, NC.

Fred is survived by his wife, Eileen; stepdaughter, Flower; adopted daughter, Shannon; mother, Joyce; two sisters, Kathy and Trudy; and brother, Robert.

Although Fred will be greatly missed, we have the blessed hope in Jesus Christ that we will be reunited with him some day. For that reason, we can celebrate his life and say it is well with our souls.

I taught children's Sunday school with Fred at Bethlehem Church (a lot of years ago). Was sorry to hear of his passing. What joy to be experiencing heaven now. Condolences to his family.
