Although I didn’t know her well, every time I saw her when she came to visit her Mom at work she was very gracious to me. And funny. I know she got that from her Mom and it was evident by her actions how lovingly she was raised. It was a pleasure to see her. I am so saddened to hear this news and wish for her family peace and love.

I haven't seen Marie in a few years and I am devastated to hear of her passing. What I remember most about Marie was her intelligence, wonderful sense of humor and her deep love of her family, children, husband, parents and brother. I am truly sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. God bless you all.

For her family,
I am so saddened to learn of her passing. I was fortunate to work with such a caring Mom for her boys and was touched by her devotion. Her boys know where to reach me if I can be of support.
Prayers for peace for all,
Kerri Bridges

Marie was such a sweet sweet little lady, I will miss her dearly. Her bright eyes and perfect smile lit up a room. She brought such love & joy to all us Moms in our little group. I'm in utter disbelief she has left this earth. But she left much wisdom for all of us still here and we will carry on her knowledge and wisdom until the day we meet again. Rest sweet princess & may you be in peace <3 Love you always.

I was so shocked to read the e-mail. I meant you while your Mom worked with me at Newburg, 2nd Nat'l Bank. Attended your wedding to Eddie and watched your boys grow through the years by receiving Christmas cards. I know your Mom, Dad, brother, Eddie and boys will miss you terribly. You were such a great and loving person. Love you and your family. Kathy

Beautiful Marie,
I just today learned of your passing. I have no idea what happened, but I know that you are missed tremendously by all who knew you. I had the pleasure of becoming your friend when Garrett was in my 5th grade class and we have stayed in touch all these years later. I pray for peace and comfort for your family. I know you are riding your bike and hiking in heaven. Rest easy, mama. ❤️

So very heartbroken over the loss of Marie. I met Marie at a gym when I moved from Canada to the US. There was a group of us that hung out and I have so many amazing memories of our times together. Weekends away, kickbox & lunch dates, hikes, water sports, zip lines, poolside fun, batting name it we did it all!

Marie will always be known for her quick wit, and her infectious laugh. I loved her sense of humor, in print and in person. She was smart, beautiful and loved her boys big! I always admired how open she was with them and strive to do the same because of her.

Pray that her family finds peace and understanding.

Rest In Peace my beautiful brown eyed friend. xoxo

Marie Jeanette Buchner Green – 46, survived by her loving husband Eddie and sons Garrett and Evan, mother Marie (Navaja), father Rolf A., brother Rolf M., and his wife Megan (Moody). Marie is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues.

Born in Torrance California, Marie was very fond of animals, spending time with friends, and visiting the ocean and amusement parks. As a teenager she moved with her family to Pennsylvania where she enjoyed being outdoors and in the mountains. Marie graduated high school in Nazareth Pennsylvania, received a Bachelor’s degree in English, Summa Cum Laude honors, from the University of Maryland, and earned her Master’s Degree in Information Technology, with high honors, from Webster University. Marie also lived in Germany, Nebraska, Virginia, and settled down in North Carolina, where she once again could enjoy the ocean and mountains. She worked for many years in the federal government and as a contractor supporting various programs where she was a noted computer security expert in her field. Marie displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems and taking on difficult projects at work.

Marie was never short on passion. Growing up in a loving family, she was naturally gifted with compassion, generosity, intelligence, and a great sense of humor which was treasured by all who knew and loved her. Marie was an avid mountain biker, enjoyed hiking, and was always working for ways to help keep the environment clean and safe. She loved to travel the world with her family and read books every chance she could. Marie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

Above all, her devotion to and pride in her family will be her legacy. Nowhere was Marie happier than being a Mother to her two boys, who were the most important part of her life: Helping with Community Volunteer efforts, taking pride in their education, planning family activities, or taking pride in watching them compete in many sporting activities. Although Marie will be deeply missed, her passion, love and spirit will never leave us, and we are eternally grateful and honored to have known her.
