Mary Virginia Jones, 96, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center of Apex. She was the daughter of A.P.P. and Annie Maynard Jones. Mary was a graduate of Cary High School and Mary Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 1980 as a nurse for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond, VA.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Bryce, Milton and Henry Jones.
She is survived by a sister, Annie Lee Wester; a brother, Russell Jones and wife, Eva; nine nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with funeral services following at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
