From humble beginnings in her birthplace of Cefalù, a coastal town in Sicily, Concetta and her husband moved their family to Baltimore in 1970 to join her brothers and build a better future for their loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Giuseppe Portera; her sister, Sara Greco; and her brothers, Francesco Greco, Salvatore Greco, Vincent Greco, and Giuseppe Greco.
Concetta is survived by her daughters, Concetta McAuliffe and Maria Flores; her brother, John Greco; and her grandchildren, Christina, Michael, and Jack McAuliffe, as well as Alex Flores.
She was known for her passion for baking, especially cookies and cream puffs—a hobby that brought joy to many. She also cherished her role as a grandmother and treasured family gatherings.
