Martin Henry Sperlein III passed peacefully on June 23, 2018 at the age of 59 while surrounded by his family. He is the oldest son of Martin Sperlein Jr (deceased) and Audrey Sperlein, brother to Michael, David, Stephen, and Christopher, uncle to Timothy, Sarah, Joshua, Jeremy, Daniel, Nicholas, and Emily, brother-in-law to Sharon, Jeannine, and Jennifer and father to Buck his Labrador Retriever.
Marty attended St. Agnes School, Johnnycake Junior High School, and Woodlawn High School. He loved his job and was a very skilled fabricator for the Department of Defense. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, building models of battleships, RC models, working on his cars, hunting, attending Nascar and Indy races, and running his dog on his ATV. He enjoyed watching the Capitals and highlighting that Joe Flacco was overrated and in no way elite.
He resided in Laurel, Maryland.
